Hand-poured in Dulwich, South East London by a small family team since 2017, every Octō candle is made with 100% natural soy wax and scented exclusively with pure essential oils. There are no synthetic fragrance oils, no paraffin, no colourants or dyes — just clean-burning plant wax and the genuine aromatic compounds that make each scent immediately recognisable as something natural rather than manufactured. Soy wax burns longer and more cleanly than paraffin, releasing fragrance more gently and without the black soot that petroleum-based candles tend to produce over time.
Bergamot is the essential oil pressed from the rind of the bergamot orange — a citrus fruit grown primarily in Calabria, in southern Italy, and one of the most widely used aromatics in the world. Its fragrance is citrus at its most refined: bright and uplifting, but with a floral, slightly spicy depth that sets it apart from simpler lemon or orange oils. It is the note that gives Earl Grey tea its distinctive character, and in candle form it does something similar — bringing an immediate freshness to a room while retaining enough warmth and complexity to feel genuinely considered. Particularly well suited to kitchens, home offices, and any space where clarity and uplift are welcome. An excellent morning candle.
