Sunday December 31st 2017

I'm sitting here on the last day of 2017, and reflecting on what a year it's been! Back in March of this year I purchased the store I'd been working in for the best part of a decade, and began rebranding it in to the vision I'd had in my head for many years, that I thought would only ever be a dream.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous amount of people who have helped and guided me this year and contributed to making "Apothecary 27" a reality, I really couldn't have done it without you! We've built such a beautiful community of people in such a short time, and we truly love seeing old faces as well as new walking through the door every day and finding such joy in browsing our shelves and investing in their health.

Looking forward to 2018 we have even more exciting plans! If you're reading this, you've already taken a peek at our brand new website, with our very first online store. Please bare with its while we update the store (we have a lot of stock to list on the site, and we're aiming to have our full catalogue of products available by the end of February). You've been asking for years, and now it's finally becoming a reality... the launch of of loyalty card! We're currently working out all the logistics, but aiming to have it up and running by the end of January. Additionally we are now offering beautifully designed gift vouchers in £10, £20 and £50 denominations. We are also looking to improving our "drop in sessions" with local practitioners, incorporating weekly sessions in a designated area of the store. This will allow for us to spend extra time with you in order to prioritise your goals and give you the health MOT you deserve. Look out for more information on this in the new year.

Thank you so much for being part of the Apothecary 27 family in 2017, and we look forward to seeing you all in-store in 2018!

The week between Christmas and New Years always feels a bit like no-man's land. We've had fun catching up on our reading while wrapped up in a warm blanket by the fire. Jennifer Egan's "Manhattan Beach" is one book we can't seem to put down.

Kill two birds with one stone. Cure those New Year's hangovers, while cleaning and detoxing your space, ready for the new year.

Do you have time in the morning to go through a 10-step skin care routine? The skin boosting properties sure look tempting...

We're definitely taking some of these tips on board, to ensure we have a calmer 2018.

Parsnip in a cake? Check out this delicious cake from our good friend Alexandra Dudley, who's cookbook "Land & Sea" is available to buy now.
