Activated nuts?

There are foods that have a particularly good effect on health. Many of them - such as tempeh, sourdough bread, miso, tamari (Japanese soy sauce), and sauerkraut - are fermented: They owe their special taste a slow, natural process of fermentation.

ACTIVATED NUTS 4Life Organics are soaked long in a Lake of water and Celtic sea salt. Soaking is a fermentation and germination process in motion that the nuts almost "activated". 

For the non-vegan varieties they use whey; wherein the lactic acid bacteria expel harmful substances by an excess of healthy bacteria and speed up the conversion process. Then the nuts is removed in a gentle drying process at low temperature the water again. The valuable nutrients that result from the fermentation remain, preserved and are precisely the moment "re- activated" when the nut ends up in the mouth.

Both the nut and the beauty of the Walnut tree (juglans regia) were deemed a hallowed place by the Greek gods, and their ancient earthly Hellenic cuisine took the classic craft of food fermentation to an heavenly degree of sophistication. Shelled walnuts look very much like the two halves of a brain. It is for this reason that the ancient Greeks and Romans believed that walnuts cured headaches. The first walnut trees are believed to have been grown by the shores of the Caspian Sea and north India.

 

ACTIVATED PISTACHIOS

Pistacia vera L. form part of the Sapindales. The pistachio fruit is actually a drupe with an exocarp, a mesocarp (hull) and a hard shell that splits across its length, when ripe. Central and SW Asia is where the pistachio originated. Its cultivation is very ancient. Remnants of the nut have been found dating back to 6 BC in Iran and Afghanistan. The word derives from the word "pistak" in the ancient Persian language. From Persia the pistachio spread westward. In the Bible the nuts are mentioned as precious gifts carried from Canaan to

Egypt by the sons of Jacob. Cultivation spread into Mediterranean countries between 1 BC and 1 AD with the arrival of the Roman Empire.

 

ACTIVATED ALMONDS

Almonds or Prunus Dulcis are native to the Middle East. It is suggested that they must have been cultivated in the Levant region first. Its fruit, likely imported from the Levant, was found in Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt (c. 1325 BC). Almonds have been an integral part of the diet in many of the Levant region cultures. They are one of the most nutritious of all nuts and are frequently used in pastries and other foods. Spain has one of the most diverse commercial cultivars of almonds. The metabolic benefits of almonds stem from their low saturated fats and high monounsaturated fatty acids, which are regarded as "healthy fat". Not to be overlooked is their vegetable protein, high fiber, vitamin and mineral content. In the Old Testament, the almond was a symbol of watchfulness and promise due to its early flowering, whilst in India, consumption of almonds is believed to be beneficial for the brain of course the bit above you always leave for all of the nuts for example.
