Apothecary 27 New Charity Initiative: PETA
The team at Apothecary 27, would like to support the charities and organisations that support the mission of our brand and the values of our customers.
We believe that we can ALL do our bit to help make this planet a better place for us all, whether it’s raising awareness or monetary support.
This month, we turn the spotlight on the amazing work that PETA does to support the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Foundation is a UK-based charity Founded in 1980 by Hertfordshire's Ingrid Newkirk. PETA has 6.5 Million members and supporters and is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals.
Their work includes educating the public about the horrors of cruelty to animals through peaceful means.
They work through public education, research, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement and protest campaigns. PETA believes in non-violence and does not advocate or support actions in which anyone, human or non-human, is harmed.
As part of its anti-fur action, PETA members have infiltrated hundreds of fashion shows in the U.S. and Europe and one in China, throwing red paint on the catwalks and unfurling banners. Celebrities and supermodels have posed naked for the group's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign
PETA and their affiliates around the world educate policymakers and the public about cruelty to animals and promote an understanding of the right of all animals to be treated with respect.
With so many worthy causes, we are asking all our customers to support us in putting forward suggestions of Charities that are close to your hearts.
For every Apothecary 27 branded product we sell, we will donate 5p. Apothecary 27 branded products include dried fruit, nuts, seeds, cereal flakes, grains, flours and confectionary.
Drop by and share the Charities you’d like highlighted or leave a suggestion in the comments section.
