Who doesn’t love the treat of a lovely hot chocolate drink especially to warm up during these winter months?

Dismayed by the additives, refined sugars and flavours that were added to many brands of hot chocolate drinks, Lucinda (founder of CAO) decided to take matters into her own hands and developed an organic range of pastes that not only can be used in drinks (hot & cold), but are so versatile that they can be used in cooking, baking and enjoyed on their own!

Classic Cao Hot Chocolate Paste

INGREDIENTS

Organic raw cacao and premium A grade maple syrup.  Raw cacao has been enjoyed for centuries and is revered in many cultures for its benefits.   This heavenly natural boost is said to have beneficial effects for the heart, brain, muscle growth, digestion, anti ageing, stress reduction and to be a natural mood elevator (it certainly puts a smile on our faces!)

 

Malt Cao Hot Chocolate Paste

Organic raw cacao, malted barley, and maple syrup blended together to create a silky, sumptuous paste.

INGREDIENTS

Organic raw cacao, malted barley and maple syrup. Malt contains B vitamins and minerals.  Malt extract was given as a "strengthening medicine" by Kanga to Roo in The House at Pooh Corner, and was also Tigger's favourite food in the book.

Mint Cao Hot Chocolate Paste

Organic raw cacao, peppermint extract and maple syrup combine to make a smooth drink with zest to power you through the day.  Think natural After Eight Mints in a jar!  

INGREDIENTS

Organic raw cacao, peppermint extract and maple syrup. Peppermint is highly prized for its ability to soothe the digestive tract, easing indigestion and other abdominal complaints.

HOW TO SERVE AS A HOT CHOCOLATE

Dollop half a teaspoon of the paste into your mug or pan, add milk (of your choice) and heat, stir with oomph!  Sit back, breath, imbibe and just be!

HOW TO SERVE AS A COLD DRINK

Mix with a splash of hot water and then stir in your cold milk to make a rich and refreshing treat.
